Born and raised in New York, Jess’ yoga journey began in 2009. After suffering a back injury from weight lifting she started exploring different yoga classes in the gym. Along with her newfound love of yoga, she also attended The Institute of Culinary Education and received my Culinary Arts & Management degree. Food and yoga became her two passions.
After a few years of bouncing in and out of the kitchens, Jess found myself back in the food industry but on the purchasing side. Stress and anxiety became much of my daily life. Yoga balanced the volatility of the food industry. “My mat met me exactly where I was at, it always does. I started to focus on my breath. Bringing it back to the breath and being fully present in class. Instead of holding my breath, I let the breath guide me into each pose, it became a moving meditation; a dance of the soul.”
In 2015 Jess decided to commit to a 200 hour yoga teacher training in Vinyasa with Yoga Medicine, lead by Tiffany Cruikshank. A truly amazing spiritual journey of vulnerability and self discovery. The training solidified my passion to guide others on their own journeys to ignite their true self with confidence and joy! “I share from my heart, through my classes you will laugh, play and flow into bliss.”
Jess is also certified in Barre, Barre/yoga, Aerial yoga and a Reiki practitioner.
