Since 2009, Cara K. Griffin RYT 500 has been sharing her transformational yoga with students all over the world. Introduced to yoga at the age of 15 by Kundalini and energy healers, Ataana and Tammy Badilli, Cara utilized the profound healing benefits of yoga to heal from tragedy, abuse, and trauma. It continues to change her life.
As an artist, yoga teacher, and activist in Savannah, GA, she completed 400hrs of Vinyasa teacher training, became a certified Pranic Healer under Master Chao Kok Sui, and practiced Vipassana and Zen meditation with community teachers. In 2009 she created a yoga outreach program that advocated for social change; raising funds and awareness for local causes.
Collegiately, Cara has taught yoga programs for Savannah State University, Savannah College of Art and Design, and served as Professor of Yoga for Georgia Southern University; designing and facilitating an accredited yoga curriculum.
In 2018, she launched Breath & Barefeet Yoga, created an apparel line, and completed her first U.S. tour across the East Coast. Best known for her signature hip and pelvis programs, Cara offers workshops, classes, and trainings at Maha Yoga and is passionate about sharing access to movement healing arts.
She’ll complete two 300HR RYT trainings by 2021, and continues to be a dedicated student, teaching vinyasa yoga in the lineage of Krishnamacharya. Cara believes in synthesizing yoga methodology for the individual; curating a holistic practice for a resilient life.
