I first found yoga as a teen in the late 90’s. An avid student of dance, I initially approached it as many do – another type of workout, to stretch and strengthen–and didn’t give it much thought. It was only when chronic injuries took me out of my ballet major at the University of Utah did I really begin to explore the importance of kinetics and safe body mechanics, as well as the value of a healthy body image.
After rediscovering yoga as an adult I have developed an appreciation for all aspects of the practice, the physical, mental, and spiritual, and its ability to heal.
I have been fortunate to complete a 200YTT with Karin Kuhn at Maha Yoga, which has both fueled my passion as a lifelong student and given me the ability to share the knowledge I’ve gained with others. I hope to be able to offer a safe space for exploration and growth for students of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.
