At 5 years old, Tyler started dabbling in Korean martial arts and had a fascination for the ways of the Samurai. At 16 years old he joined Oom Yung Doe and has been an active participant in the style for 20 years and holds the rank of second degree blackbelt.

Tyler also studied directly with, and was an instructor at ,Grandmaster Jiang Jing Sung Baek’s Dae Han and Mugairyu World Headquarters in Seattle Washington where he organized seminars and became a certified Chief Instructor with Dao Source.
Tyler is certified to teach Kendo and Iado under Chief Master Jonah Chin Founder of Scholars Way.
Tyler also holds the title of “Chief Master of Mantis Martial Arts Academy” (aka Qi Hui) and has students in Hawaii, California and British Columbia.
Tyler earned a Diploma of Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine from The Royal Pacific Institute of Acupuncture and Herbology (formerly known as Oshio College of Acupuncture and Herbology)
In addition he holds the certified title of “Master” for teaching Taoist Qi Gong and looks forward to sharing his love for Taoist Internal Martial Arts, Nutritional Therapies and Herbal Medicine at Maha Yoga & Wellness.
